Navy’s Game-Ending Field Goal Sinks Pitt 24-21

Nick Sloan kicked a 30-yard field goal as time expires on Saturday night, lifting Navy to a 24-21 win over Pitt at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Both teams emerged from the contest with 4-3 records.

Pitt quarterback Tom Savage completed 20-of-27 passes for 203 yards with touchdown throws to Devin Street and Tyler Boyd.  Chris Blewitt kicked a pair of field goals.  Street caught nine passes for 96 yards, and Isaiah Bennett led Pitt’s 135-yard rushing attack with 77 yards.

For Navy, Keenan Reynolds ran for a score and threw a touchdown pass to Marcus Thomas, and Quinton Singleton scored on a run.  Reynolds passed for only 105 yards on an 8-for-18 afternoon, but ran for 93 of Navy’s 22o rushing yards.

Pitt will play at Georgia Tech next Saturday night.
