National Fuel Gas is advising customers in the Venus area today (Dec. 31) of a loss of natural gas service affecting approximately eighty of their natural gas customers.
The company says the problem has been isolated, affected customers have been identified, and crews are working to resolve the issue.
Officials expect to begin restoring service early this afternoon, and hope to have all gas service restored by early this evening.
Affected customers should be aware that representatives from National Fuel will be knocking on their doors, requesting access to their homes to check and relight appliances prior to the restoration of service. Homeowners are advised that all of their employees carry company identification.
The door-to-door process will continue until all customers are back in service.
