National Fuel Gas, in its required annual filing of a Purchased Gas Cost projection with the Public Utility Commission, sees a slight decrease in gas supply charges by next fall.
If their projection is approved as filed, it would save an individual referred to by the company as their “typical residential customer” a little more than fifteen dollars per year, beginning August 1.
A utility such as National Fuel is required by law to pass on any increase or decrease in the price they are charged for the natural gas they supply without any mark-up or discount. They are allowed to adjust the charge to their customers on a quarterly basis.
