National Fuel Gas has announced their annual adjustment to their gas supply charges, and it represents a 5.66 percent decrease.
The company says the “typical” residential customer should see a drop in his monthly natural gas bill of about $4.61.
The new rate takes effect Friday, August 1.
National Fuel projects their annual gas supply charges each August 1. They reflect the price the company pays for their gas supply. The company must pass on any increase or decrease, dollar for dollar, to their customers. The charges can be adjusted on a quarterly basis throughout the year.
