Moore Holds Bucs In Rays’ 4-1 Win Over Pittsburgh

Matt Moore surrendered only two hits and struck out three batters in 3-and-a-third scoreless innings as Tampa Bay’s starter Thursday, and the Rays went on to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates (8-6-2) by a 4-1 score in Grapefruit League play in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Ben Zobrist and Yunei Escobar both hit two-run singles off Pirates loser Jeanmar Gomez.

Omir Santos drove home Pittsburgh’s lone run, and Starling Marte recorded two of the Bucs’ six hits.
