The body of a Sandy Lake man missing since early Friday after his boat capsized was found by a search party made up of friends and family members in about 20 feet of water in Sandy Lake on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say the body of 29 year-old Jason Mathieson was discovered near where other members of the man’s boating party had said he went under, and where an official rescue team, including professional scuba divers, had not been able to locate it over the weekend.
An official search had been concluded on Sunday.
Mathieson went under water shortly before 5:00 AM Friday. At the time, officials said two other people in the overturned boat, later identified as 30 year-old Jason Greggs and 30 year-old Nicki Heister, had been successfully able to swim to shore.
