Police in Mercer County say a Mercer woman faces charges which may include driving under the influence in a two-vehicle crash in which her four children and two people in the other vehicle were injured last week.

Pymatuning Township Police say 28 year-old Amanda Kline ran through a stop sign and into the path of an oncoming pickup.  Kline’s four children, ranging in age from 4 years to 17 days old, were all flown to Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital.  Three of the children were said to be seriously injured.  The driver of the truck, 27 year-old Jessica Young from West Salem, and her sister were both treated for minor injuries.

Police were waiting over the weekend for the results of DUI toxicology tests on Kline.  Officials say she has already been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, careless driving, speeding, driving with a suspended license, and four counts of endangering the welfare of children.

As of the weekend, Kline was lodged in the Mercer County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
