State Police in Butler County have charged a Mercer man after they say he was driving without his lights on and hit a car driven by a Franklin man.
Troopers say 21 year-old Spencer Upton was also heading south on the northbound lane of Route 8 near Route 58 in Harrisville when the collision occurred.
The Franklin driver was identified as 21 year-old Cory Specht. The collision sent Specht’s car sailing into a yard. Specht and a female passenger both escaped without injuries.
Troopers say charges against Upton will include driving under the influence.
