One of two teenagers charged in the brutal beating of a Meadville man early on New Years morning was found deliquent in Crawford County Juvenile Court this week. “Delinquent” is the equivalent of a guilty conviction.
The 15 year-old from Meadville is accused of helping a 16 year-old male beat a 34 year-old man in the parking lot of a Meadville pharmacy at about 3:00 AM on January 1. A count of conspiracy was dismissed.
The older teen faces a court hearing on Tuesday which will determine whether he will be tried as an adult. The 16 year-old faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, conspiracy, reckless endangerment and harassment.
The victim in the incident required hospital treatment in Erie.
