A Meadville man was sentenced Friday to three-to-six years in the state prison system in the beating of an older man in the parking lot of a Meadville pharmacy early on the morning of New Years Day, 2013.
18 year-old Timothy Bolden had entered a guilty plea in Crawford County Court to a charge of aggravated assault, while in the plea bargain, other charges, including conspiracy, reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment were dismissed.
Bolden, who was 16 at the time, was accused along with a 15 year-old male with an attack on a 34 year-old man. The victim was beaten until he fell to the ground, and was then kicked in the face.
Bolden has been given credit for about eight-and-a-half months already served. The younger defendant was earlier found delinquent, the juvenile court equivalent of guilty, and was placed in a juvenile rehabilitation center in Cambridge Springs.
