Jamie McMurray earned his seventh career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win on Sunday, taking the Camping World RV Sales 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

Jimmie Johnson’s 13th-place finish moves Johnson into the Sprint Cup points standings lead by four points over Matt Kenseth, who finished 20th, with four races remaining in the Chase for the Cup.  Next Sunday’s race, the Goody’s Fast Relief 500, will be run in Martinsville, Virginia. Coverage will begin at 12:30 PM on ESPN Radio 1120.

McMurray won under a caution flag after rookie driver Austin Dillon spun out on the final lap, one of the few mishaps in the race.  It was his first victory since 2010.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. finished second, and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. placed third.
