The ribbon cutting and first official bike ride on the new McClintock Trail are scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 PM.
The ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be held just off the 400-block of Seneca Street near Memorial Drive on Oil City’s North Side. All who attend are invited to bring along their bicycles and join in the accompanying ride on the newly-completed trail.
The trail is yet another of the last pieces of the puzzle which will complete a 270-mile Erie-to-Pittsburgh biking and hiking trail.
Meanwhile, some 20 signs were installed Thursday along the Queen City Trail, a 1.7 mile stretch which runs through Titusville. City of Titusville officials claim these represent the first set of signs proclaiming the Erie-to-Pittsburgh route.
