Matt Cooke Leaves Pittsburgh For Minnesota

Free agent left wing Matt Cooke signed a three-year contract with the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, leaving the Pittsburgh Penguins as a free agent.

The Minnesota pact is said to be worth 7-and-a-half million dollars.  Cooke will reportedly make one-and-a-half million dollars next season.

Cooke played in all 48 regular season games in 2013, scoring 21 points (8 goals and 13 assists) and posting a plus-minus rating of minus-2.
