State Police officials on Wednesday morning released information about the fatal incident involving a woman with a bicycle which occurred in Cranberry Township early Sunday evening.

Investigators have identified the deceased as 56 year-old Sandra Woodlock, from Silver Spring, Maryland.

Officials say the victim was either riding or pushing a bicycle southbound along the right-hand side of Cranberry-Rockland Road shortly before 7:00 PM Sunday.  Night had fallen, Woodlock was wearing dark clothing and her bicycle was not equipped with the required headlamps needed for night riding.

Woodlock was struck by a southbound pickup operated by a 68 year-old Kennerdell man just as the truck was passing an oncoming vehicle.  The victim was knocked off her bike and into a ditch.  She was pronounced dead at UPMC Northwest in Cranberry.

Investigators did not have any information regarding the northbound vehicle which apparently continued traveling after the fatal incident.
