A Bradford man was flown to an Erie hospital Wednesday afternoon after his car slammed into a boulder along Route 322 in Cranberry Township.

State Police say a car driven by 23 year-old Brian Garges left the highway across from the Justus Bike Trail which is along the Allegheny River shortly after 3:00 PM Wednesday.  The vehicle plowed head-on into a large boulder located at the bottom of the cliff wall along the east side of the highway.  The car was totaled.

Troopers say Garges had not been wearing a seat belt.  The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Route 322 between Deep Hollow Road and Bredinsburg Road was closed for about an hour while responders did their work.
