A Franklin man has been charged with three counts after he allegedly tampered with two emergency response vehicles which were parked at Venango Regional Airport.

Franklin City Police say 19 year-old John Wilson was doing community service duty at the airport on December 19 when he decided to experiment with several switches and controls on two trucks which are used to respond to airport issues.  Investigators say one vehicle was rendered inoperable, and the communications system on a second truck was disabled.

Both trucks are now back in service.

Wilson was charged Friday with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and tampering with fire apparatus.  He was lodged in the Venango County Jail on $25,000 bond.
