Emergency home heating assistance will be available statewide, starting next week.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) crisis grants will be given out, beginning January 2, to provide emergency home heating support to those struggling to heat their homes this winter.

Department of Public Welfare spokesperson Kate Gillis tells Radio PA News grant qualifications may include those on the brink of having their utility service terminated, those with under a 15-day supply of fuel and those with broken heating equipment or leaking fuel lines.
