PennDOT announced Tuesday that new Pennsylvania license plates are available for those who have served with a U.S. Military airborne unit or as a World War II Merchant Mariner.
The new registration plates for those who are members or veterans of an airborne unit exhibit the standard plate configurations with images of jump and glider wings. The new World War II plates are coupled with an image of the Merchant Marine emblem.
Information on the new plates and all available military license plates may be found on the PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services website. The other plates honor individuals who have served in all branches of the United States Armed Forces and in major conflicts from World War II to Operation Enduring Freedom.
