A state Representative from Butler County has introduced a bill in Harrisburg to make any new federal gun control laws unenforceable in Pennsylvania.

Representative Daryl Metcalfe says his measure would prohibit the enforcement of any new federal prohibition, restriction or registration requirement on privately owned firearms, magazines and ammunition.  House Bill 357, or The Right to Bear Arms Protection Act, would require Pennsylvania to act against any federal attempt to force the ban, restriction or registration of any firearm or firearm accessories currently deemed legal.

Metcalfe was one of the speakers at a rally held outside the state Capitol on Wednesday held to counter an event held inside the complex by CeaseFire PA.  Speakers at the inner rally called for stricter gun safety laws in Pennsylvania.
