Late FG Lifts Jets Past Atlanta On Monday Night

Nick Folk kicked a 43-yard field goal as time expired on Monday night, and the New York Jets (3-2) posted a 30-28 NFL victory over the Falcons in Atlanta.

The Falcons (1-4) lost for the third straight week, and fell four games behind New Orleans in the NFC South.  The Jets trail New England (4-1) by one game in the AFC East.

Rookie Geno Smith threw three touchdown passes for the Jets.  Atlanta took a 28-27 lead on a 3-yard TD pass from Matt Ryan to Levine Toilolo with 1:54 remaining.

The Jets will host the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4) on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
