Police in Titusville now say their arrest last week of a man wanted in Lancaster County turned up a cache of guns, including one semi-automatic weapon that was loaded with ballistic-tipped bullets which are able to penetrate law officials’ protective apparel.
22 year-old Nicholas Reynolds was apprehended December 19 at an apartment building in Titusville. He had been wanted in Lancaster County in connection with an investigation into the sales of heroin.
Titusville City Police say they found six weapons in the apartment, many of which they believe were “stolen or acquired illegally.” They say they also seized about a half-pound of marijuana and numerous types of prescription drugs, including oxycodone.
New charges against Reynolds include several relating to the illegal possession of firearms and the possession of controlled substances, as well as receiving stolen property and the possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged without bail in the Crawford County Jail.
