The AAA travel agency estimates that over one in ten Pennsylvania residents will travel fifty or more miles from home over the Labor Day holiday weekend. That would represent an increase of about four percent from last year.
More than half intend to head to the beach or waterfront. Nearly seventy percent say they will dine out at least once.
If the projections hold true, Labor Day would become the only 2013 summer holiday in which Pennsylvania travel numbers would not have fallen off slightly.
