A Knox man was sentenced to 9-to-18 years in prison in the sexual assaults of two young girls in the early 1990′s.

Reno Facciani was sentenced Wednesday on guilty pleas he had entered in February in assaults on two girls who were ages seven to twelve at the time.

C-93 Radio reports that Clarion County Assistant District Attorney Drew Welsh had argued for a minimum term of 17 years.  Clarion County President Judge James Arner handed down the 9-to-18 year term after the court reportedly received letters of support for Facciani and a letter of remorse from the defendant.
