A Kittanning man has been charged in connection with that weekend fight that resulted in the death of a man from Chicora.
State Police say 27 year-old Dennis Rosenberger was initially arraigned on a charge of aggravated assault. He was lodged in the Armstrong County Jail with bond set at $50,000.
Authorities say Rosenberger was involved in a fight with 39 year-old James Sullivan at about 1:30 AM Sunday morning on Monteith Street in Kittanning. It appears Sullivan was knocked to the pavement and struck his head. Initial indications are that Sullivan died of a fractured skull.
Early news reports about the incident estimated that more than 30 people were gathered at the fight scene. The investigation continues.
