Kennett Square KAU, the team that won the recent Pennsylvania State Junior League Baseball Tournament in Cranberry, captured the Eastern Regional Tournament championship on Wednesday, and will head to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.

The Chester County squad defeated Ossining, New York 15-5 in six innings Wednesday afternoon to take the regional title in Freehold Township, New Jersey.

Still undefeated after sectional, state and regional play, KAU will draw a bye in Sunday’s first round of the World Series, and on Monday (Aug. 14) at 4:00 PM will begin tourney play against the winner of the Sunday game between Enchitas, California and Abilene, Texas.
