DuBois Wins Junior League Baseball State Tournament at Cranberry

2013 Junior League Baseball Pennsylvania State Tournament Results  –  at Cranberry High School

 

The DuBois Junior League baseball All-Stars captured the state Junior League title with 5 wins in 5 days at the Pennsylvania State Tournament in Cranberry over the weekend.  DuBois followed last year’s runner-up finish by clinching the championship on Sunday evening with a 4-1 victory over Upper Moreland.

The title victory entitled DuBois to advance to the Eastern Regional Tournament in Freehold Township, New Jersey, beginning Saturday.  They will open play at 4:00 PM Saturday against the Elmwood Junior League squad from the Providence, Rhode Island area.  The Eastern Regional champion will move on to the Junior League World Series to be held again this year in Taylor, Michigan.
