Johnson Wins For Record 8th Time At Dover

Jimmie Johnson held off teammate and race polesitter Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on Sunday to win at Dover International Speedway in Delaware for a record eighth time, taking the AAA 400, the third leg in the 1o0-race NASCAR Chase for the Cup.

Johnson had been tied with seven wins at Dover with Bobby Allison and Richard Petty.

Matt Kenseth, who won the first two Chase races, finished seventh Sunday to maintain an 8-point lead over Johnson in the Sprint Cup points standings.
