Johnson Wins Again At Dover

After eleven winless weeks to start the NASCAR Sprint Cup racing season, six-time series champion Jimmie Johnson has now won back-to-back events.  On Sunday, Johnson took the checkered flag at the “FedEx 400 benefitting Autism Speaks” event at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.

It was the ninth victory for Johnson at the Dover track, extending his track record.  He led for 272 of 400 laps and posted back-to-back victories for the 13th time.

Johnson beat Brad Keselowski to the finish line.  Matt Kenseth placed third, and took over the Sprint Cup points standings lead by two points over Jeff Gordon.

The race took the “regular season” schedule to the halfway point,.  Next Sunday’s event (June 8) will be the “Party in the Poconos 400 presented by Walmart” at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond here in Pennsylvania.
