Johnson Earns Pocono Title

Jimmie Johnson earned his third NASCAR Spring Cup title of the year, and the 63rd of his career, coasting to victory Sunday in the Party in the Poconos 400 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond.

Adding to his lead in this season’s Sprint Cup points standings, Johnson posted his first win at Pocono since he took both events at the track in 2004.

Greg Biffle finished second, ahead of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman.

Johnson led from the pole after Friday’s qualifying was rained out.  The 2012 winner, Joey Logano finished 10th.
