A State Police firs marshal has been investigating the cause of a Friday fire that swept through a large section of the Greenville-Reynolds Industrial Park in western Mercer County.
More than 100 firefighters from four counties in two states responded to the blaze which actually mushroomed after they arrived on the scene.
The fire destroyed a plant operated by a ceramics coating company from Canada, and caused extensive damage to at least three warehouses. A storage warehouse owned by Salem Tube, located in a former Westinghouse complex, sustained damage to its roof.
It appears the fire began in a vacant building. No injuries were reported.
