A woman and her one year-old son were taken for observation to Titusville Area Hospital late Friday afternoon after the mother was bumped by a pickup while she was pushing the boy in a stroller.

The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 PM at the intersection of North Franklin Street and West Central Avenue in Titusville.  The truck driver said he was slow in reacting because he had not seen the woman with the stroller due to the glare of the sun.  The woman apparently pushed the stroller out of danger, but it tipped over and the infant riding in it struck the street pavement.

Both mother and child were transported to the hospital, but neither had been seriously injured.
