Although forecasters are not predicting much snow accumulation with the return of cold weather Friday night, the National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Watch for later in the weekend.

Forecasters say the storm could dump up to six inches of snow along the shores of Lake Erie and 6-to-12 inches in parts of the inland Snow Belt.  Most of the accumulation is expected from early Saturday evening through late afternoon Sunday.

In Venango County, projected accumulation amounts for Saturday night and Sunday had not been released, but until late Saturday, only a fraction of an inch of snow was expected.

Temperatures should fall into the upper teens on Saturday night, and down to the 12-to-14 degree range by Monday morning.
