Traffic on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Barkeyville was disrupted early Saturday morning when a trailer load of frozen foods was spilled out onto the highway.

State Police accident investigators say the incident occurred shortly after 4:00 AM Saturday when a tractor-trailer, driven by 48 year-old Kenneth Knitz, from Deshler, Ohio, sideswiped a guiderail.  Extended contact with the rail forced open the trailer, spilling the load of food.

Knitz was not injured in the incident.

Police say traffic eastbound was restricted to a single lane until the cleanup of the frozen food could be completed.
