Kevin Harvick pulled away from Kasey Kahne on a restart with eleven laps remaining on Sunday and captured the checkered flag at NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

Harvick won the Sprint Cup series’ longest event for the second time in three years.

The race was stopped for almost 30 minutes after the support cable for a television camera snapped and landed on the track.  The incident also resulted in injuries to ten race fans.  Three were treated at Charlotte-area hospitals.

Kahne finished second, Kurt Busch placed third, and polesitter Denny Hamlin was fourth.  Points standings leader Jimmie Johnson settled for 22nd place.
