Harvick Wins From Pole At Kansas Speedway

Starting from the pole position for the first time in seven years, Kevin Harvick shook off a track-record fifteen caution flags and won Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.

Pulling away during a restart with 19 laps to go, Harvick outlasted Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon to earn his third NASCAR Sprint Cup event of the year and move into third place in the Sprint Cup points standings with six Chase for the Cup events remaining.

With a sixth-place finish, Jimmie Johnson moved to within three points of points leader Matt Kenseth, who placed 11th.
