Police in Franklin say a central Pennsylvania man was charged early Thursday morning following his arrest in their probe into a reported attempted break-in at Franklin City Hall.
City Police responded to the outside of the same building where they are headquartered shortly after midnight, and found a suspect in a nearby alley. The suspect was identified as Jesse Burd, from Harrisburg. Officers say Burd spent the remainder of Thursday morning in the city jail, and was released after having been charged with a number of summary counts, including public drunkenness.
There was no indication that any attempt to break into City Hall had been successful.
