Police in Clarion County entered the Christmas holiday still trying to determine what charges should be filed against which individuals in connection with a bar fight in the Fryburg area last weekend.
Police reports indicate that 37 year-old Shawn Jay, of New Bethlehem, is accused of punching a 25 year-old Shippenville man in the face at the bar at about 12:30 PM Saturday afternoon. As Jay was being escorted from the establishment, a man identified as 24 year-old Robert Myers allegedly struck the same man on the head with a beer bottle.
Police say Jay and Myers were later waiting for the third man in the bar parking lot, where one of the men allegedly threatened to assault the man with a chainsaw. The Shippenville man then allegedly pulled a gun, prompting the other two combatants to flee the scene.
Early police reports did not include the identity of the Shippenville man, nor describe the extent of his injuries.
