A Grove City woman who was charged last week after being accused of using her agency credit card for personal use has waived a preliminary hearing, and will face an arraignment hearing in Mercer County Court in November.
56 year-old Cecelia Yauger is accused of making more than $2,000 in purchases through a credit card issued to the Midwestern Intermediate Unit in Grove City. Yauger had, until her resignation in April, served as director of the IU unit, which provides services to schools in Mercer, Butler and Lawrence Counties.
Yauger faces charges of theft and access device fraud. Investigators say they found evidence akin to a confession in a journal kept on Yauger’s agency computer.
