As he signed a bill to extend the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) on Wednesday, Governor Tom Corbett again called on state lawmakers to take action on transportation funding.

Corbett said, if lawmakers can put policy ahead of politics on the CHIP extension for Pennsylvania’s children, they can do the same thing for the state’s drivers.

The Governor signed a measure that amends legislation to extend the CHIP program through 2015.  Corbett was granted his wish to have the waiting period for CHIP enrollment eliminated, part of his “Healthy Pennsylvania” plan.
