Governor Tom Corbett on Monday revealed the details on his administration’s mobilization of equipment and crews over the weekend to aid in blizzard cleanup efforts in Connecticut.
Corbett also said his direction to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to mobilize crews to help Massachusetts residents was cancelled after Massachusetts responded that they were receiving help from another state.
Corbett said Monday that crews from Somerset, Tioga, Montour and Columbia Counties were dispatched to Connecticut. Three tractor-trailers hauled three massive snow blowers to the Hartford, Farmington and Meriden areas. Three plow trucks were also sent to Connecticut. The crews and equipment were expected to return to Pennsylvania by late this week.
