With the two-week state rifle deer season now completed, the Pennsylvania Game Commission is reminding hunters they must report their deer kills.

Additionally, hunters who obtained antlerless deer permits through the Deer Management Assistance Program are required to submit reports, regardless of their success.

Reports may be made online at the Game Commission’s website pgc.state.pa.us, by phoning 1 – 855 – PAHUNT1 or through the traditional method of returning a card included in the Pennsylvania Hunting and Trapping Digest.

Game Commission executive director Carl Roe says the reports are important tools in measuring the deer harvest, and his agency believes that only about forty percent of successful hunters report their kills.
