Light-Up Night in Emlenton, to be held on Friday (Dec. 6), will feature a “Passport to the North Pole” event, targeting children from preschoolers through sixth graders.
While a Christmas tree will be illuminated on Main Street at about 6:15 PM, the youngsters are also invited to visit several locations around town to pick up prizes and treats, and to take a shot at making a Christmas ornament. Each child who makes all of the “Passport” stops will have his or her name entered in a drawing for an iPod.
Santa will, of course, make a visit. A balloon artist will be on hand. And, area civic organizations will be selling items such as ornaments, poinsettias and wreaths.
