Friday At Oil Heritage Festival 2013

festThe annual Oil Heritage Festival resumes in Oil City on Friday morning with a children’s pool party (9:30 AM until 3:30 PM), the Oil Valley Quilters’ Guild’s Fabric Bazaar in the parlor of Trinity Methodist Church (9:00 AM until 6:00 PM) and the start of the Oil Heritage Artisan and Fine Craft Festival (10:00 AM until 7:00 PM).

The Oil Heritage Art Show continues, starting at noon, at the National Transit Building. The new Joseph C. King Memorial Park at the intersection of Route 8 and Center Street will be dedicated at 4:00 PM.

The Oil Heritage Youth Baseball Tournament will begin at 5:00 PM at the Oil City Junior Baseball Fields at Hasson Heights. Boy Scout Troop 17 will host a “Feast in the Park” from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, served this year at the Hasson Heights Main Pavilion. The River Golf competition gets underway at 5:00 PM on the bank of the Allegheny River at Justus Park.

Nighttime activity will include the second of three sessions of the St. Stephen Church Heritage Festival in the church parking lot, and concert performances by Southern Knights (5:00 PM until 6:30 PM) and Two for Flinching (7:00 PM until 10:00 PM) at the band shell in Justus Park.
