Franklin’s annual Light-Up Night is scheduled for Saturday, November 23.

As has become the custom, the nighttime activities will be preceded by a number of daytime events throughout downtown Franklin.

The 2013 Christmas Tree Extravaganza, themed “Holiday Angels,” will be open from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the lobby of the Barrow-Civic Theatre, while the Franklin Public Library’s 8th annual Holiday Bazaar will run from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

A Living Nativity will be presented at 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Elk and West Park Streets.  Santa Claus will appear at the Barrow-Civic Little Theatre from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM.  The Franklin High School Black Knight Marching Band is scheduled to present a “street show” at 5:30 PM on the 1200-block of Liberty Street.

The annual Electric Lights Parade will begin at 6:00 PM, and it will precede the lighting of trees and structures in the city’s parks, the illumination of much of the remainder of downtown Franklin and the popular Fireworks Extravaganza.
