A former Franklin man faces several charges after an incident early Sunday morning in which a vehicle hit a house on Franklin’s 15th Street.
Police say 36 year-old Joseph Austin, most recently from Jamestown, New York, was hurt in the crash shortly before 4:00 AM Sunday and was treated at UPMC Northwest.
Accident investigators say Austin has been charged with D-U-I. driving with a suspended license, causing an accident involving property and other traffic violations. Police say it was discovered that Austin had also been wanted on five warrants that were on file with the City Police Department.
Austin was arraigned on Sunday afternoon, and was then lodged in the Venango County Jail on $40,000 bail.
