A Franklin man has been charged in Mercer County after he allegedly hit another man’s truck with his own and injured another person while leaving the scene of the incident.
State Police at the Mercer station in Jackson Center say 23 year-old Jonathan Wakefield was charged following the Sunday evening incident with simple assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and five other counts.
Troopers say Wakefield was holding a conversation with a second individual while they were standing in a driveway in Liberty Township. Wakefield got into his truck and allegedly intentionally rammed another truck in the same driveway. Police say his vehicle then struck the outstretched hand of the person to whom he had been talking as he left the scene.
There was no initial report as to how badly the victim was hurt.
