A Franklin woman who, along with her husband has been wanted since mid-summer in connection with an assault incident in the parking lot of an Oil City convenience store, turned herself in to Oil City Police on Sunday.
28 year-old Virginia Umstead was arraigned on charges that included simple assault and harassment, and was lodged in the Venango County Jail on $10,000 bail.
Umstead and 27 year-old Terrence Loggins are the suspects in an incident in July in which two people followed another woman into a convenience store parking lot. Umstead stands accused of striking the woman’s head against a window ledge outside the store.
Loggins is also wanted in connection with a physical assault on a woman in the parking lot of a Franklin bar, an incident which occurred the same weekend. Police have, as of yet, been unable to locate him.
