The four newest members of the Franklin High School Hall-of-Fame will be inducted during ceremonies preceding Franklin’s Applefest activities on Thursday, October 3.
The four members of the third “class” of the Hall-of-Fame include FHS athletes Paul “Red” Law and Dave Bierbach, author Hildegard Dolson and longtime newspaper editor and Venango County historian Carolee Michener. They will join ten others previously enshrined in the recently-organized honors Hall.
Members are chosen on the basis of character, citizenship, leadership and accomplishments. Those eligible include Franklin High graduates who have been out of school for at least ten years, and teachers and coaches who have been retired for at least five years. Posthumous selections are considered each year.
