Four errors, including three in the first two innings, contributed to an 8-2 preseason loss for the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Tampa Bay Rays in Bradenton, Florida on Wednesday.

Making his first start of the spring, A.J. Burnett took the loss.

Luke Scott and Jose Molina both slammed two of the Rays’ 12 hits.  Alex Presley and Matt Hague drove home the Pittsburgh runs.

The Bucs (2-2) will send Jameson Taillon against the Boston Red Sox in a Thursday afternoon game in Bradenton.
