Four Charged In Counterfeit Money Investigation In Meadville

There is another counterfeit money case in the region — this time in Crawford County.

State police at the Meadville station say four individuals have been charged in connection with two phony $100 bills passed at the Walmart in Vernon Township.

Investigators say 49 year-old Eric Walton and 41 year-old Ronald Clapper, both from Johnson City, New York were charged with forgery and conspiracy, and 25 year-old Tiffany Watt, from Meadville, and 30 year-old Cheryl LeBleu, from Johnson City, were charged with conspiracy at their arraignments following their arrests on Tuesday.

The suspects were remanded to the Crawford County Jail.
